The next International Poetry festival in Genoa will be held from June, 15th to June, 24th 2005

Another CVT festival: the EUROJAPAN poetry festival.
Tokyo 9 and 10 December 2005

Every year we invite poets, writers and artists of the music world, visual arts and cinema that have some relationship with poetry, and writing in general. In the past editions over 500 authors came in Genoa, like the Nobel Prizes Czeslaw Milosz, Derek Walcott and Wole Soyinka, and poets and artists like Lou Reed, John Giorno, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Jack Hirschmann, Lydia Lunch, Ed Sanders, Charles Simic, Diane Di Prima, Ray Manzarek of The Doors, Joanne Kyger, Pedro Pietri (USA), Adonis (Syria), Paco Ibanez, Fernando Arrabal (Spain), Alejandro Jodorowsky (Chili), Alvaro Mutis (Colombia), Michel Houellebecq, Tahar Ben Jelloun, and many others.
Next edition of the Festival will be from 10th to the 18th of June and it will be one of the main events of Italian cultural summer.
Coming to the festival could be a good starting point to visit our beautiful region, a land loved by poets and writers like Byron, Cendrars, Nietzsche, Valéry, Pound, Conrad, Montale, Duras and many others.
The venue will be the most important and beautiful building, Palazzo Ducale, in the center of Genoa.
As usual for our Festival, the entrance will be free.

Resuming the past editions:
  • more than 550 poets and artists;
  • more than 300 shows with free entrance; 7 international exibitions;
  • More than a 1000 articles on national and intarnational press;
  • More than 300 radio and TV broadcastings;
  • from 10 to 15.000 attendance each year;
  • More than 20.000 visitors at the tenth edition;
  • More than 4000 poems for the European Prize for Young Poets "G. Dagnino";
  • Organization of festivals in Munchen, Brugge, Paris, Lille, Helsinki, Garda Lake;
  • 1° International Forum of Literary and Poetry magazines (1995);
